I am constantly on a quest to find the best latte. If you have a suggestion, please feel free to email me! I also really enjoy spending time out on the water, whether that be kayaking or boating. I have lived in Washington my whole life and I am always finding new things to do. I spend my free time reading, going to concerts, shopping and catching up on my favorite shows.
That if you choose PLU, it will become home! Our campus has an amazing sense of community and everyone is welcome. One of the things I appreciated when I was a student was how accepting the campus, staff, faculty and fellow students are. We are always open to new ideas and can help foster your standing beliefs and ideals. I, along with everyone else, was allowed to be who they are. I think that is pretty unique at a university level. It also helped that I had small classes which allowed me to get to know my fellow classmates and my professors.
I love everything about living in the Northwest. Tacoma is a great spot because you have mountains and water and so many activities that can be done at both. You will never have a boring weekend with all the different options available.
PLU allowed me to discover my passions and encouraged me to follow them. At PLU, you have the opportunity to create friendships with staff and faculty members who eventually become mentors. This is a place where you will be encouraged to dream big!
I am constantly surprised at how truly friendly everyone is on campus! Whether it be someone holding open a door or smiling and saying hi as you walk around campus, everyone goes out of their way to make everyone feel valued.
PLU is different and unique because of the community that it cultivates. Living in the residence halls, late night study sessions and all of the clubs on campus allow you to be immediately plugged into campus. Very rarely will you meet someone who is not involved in at least one club or organization on campus. This is a place where you will create family and life-long relationships!
