Congratulations!
We are pleased to welcome you as an admitted student to PLU. We think that you’ll find that PLU is a unique place that will challenge you as a student, support you as a person, and prepare you for a lifetime of success. To ensure you are set to enroll at PLU, follow these easy steps:
1. Verify that your credits transferred like you expected.
See the review of transferable credit you received with your admission packet. If you have any questions, call or email us.
2. Review your Financial Aid Offer
If you have not yet received your offer, know that our Financial Aid Office is working to get offers out as soon as possible. If you have not yet, we encourage you to submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to ensure optimal financial aid awarding.
Off-campus 2013-2014 Direct Costs
Tuition: $34,440
The FAFSA is free, and it is the best way to see how much it will cost to attend PLU. (Note: When filling out the FAFSA form, remember that PLU’s FAFSA school code is 003785). Once you have received your Offer of Financial Aid, be sure to review it with your PLU Transfer Admission Counselor, who is happy to either schedule an over-the-phone or face-to-face meeting with you and your family to answer questions regarding scholarships, grants, loans, work study, and payment options.
On-campus 2013-2014 Direct Costs
Tuition: $34,440
Room & Meals: $10,100
Total: $44,540
3. Be a Lute! Pay your Advance Tuition Payment
Once you have been admitted to PLU, you may pay your $200 Advance Tuition Payment to confirm your spot in the entering class of Fall 2013, secure your housing assignment (if living on-campus), and prepare for class registration. You can pay the Advance Tuition Payment online at www.plu.edu/BeALute. If you are using a military benefit to pay for college, this can be deferred. Please let us know if this is the case.
4. Schedule your Registration Appointment
New transfer students can register for Fall 2013 classes beginning in May, a full month before incoming first-year students. Once you have paid your Advance Tuition Payment, proceed to the PLU Transfer Registration website to complete the next steps to set up your registration and advising appointment. Before your registration appointment, be sure to set up your PLU ePass, submit your online payment contract, and complete PLU's Community Standards Module.
5. Next Steps and Transfer Orientation
The Transfer Student Services website has a helpful 'to-do' list for incoming transfer students. You can RSVP for the Transfer Student Orientation in the fall, where you'll learn how to use campus resources, see where your classes will be, and meet the staff, faculty and students who will help you complete your PLU degree. The Transfer Student Services website is also a great resource to help you get your LuteCard, apply for an on-campus job or work study position, and get connected with your new PLU community.
Most importantly, call us with questions – we are happy to help you figure out if PLU is right for you. Call the PLU Office of Admission at 253-535-7151 to set up a meeting.
