Frank Johnson '66

Class Representative

Representative Since: 2006

Frank was a Pre-Med student and graduated from PLU with a BA in Biology in 1966.  He started dental school at OHSU in Portland the following fall. He soon came to the realization that he would rather mold minds than teeth.  He withdrew from dental school and received his Masters from Portland State University.  Frank taught junior high and senior high school science for 32 years in Hillsboro, Oregon before retiring and moving to the northern Oregon coast.

Frank Johnson
Frank loves the laid back atmosphere of the small coastal community. In the winter months he's active in a local community theater.  During the summer he and his wife direct a sack lunch program to feed many of the local school age kids who are not being served through the free and reduced lunch program. He also enjoys travel and researching family genelogy. When time permits he does a little home brewing.  He also enjoys time with his two grandkids.

Best part about PLU: The education you receive from small classes taught by PHD professors is far superior to the mega course led by a grad student.  The friendships you build and the grounding you receive in the nurturing atmosphere of a small liberal arts college can not be found anywhere else.
