The University Archives serves as a resource for the study of the history of Pacific Lutheran University and collects, organizes, preserves, describes and provides access to records, published items, photographs, artifacts and audio-visual materials of permanent administrative, legal and historical value to the University. These records document the history and mission of the University; its administrative and academic units; and the activities of its faculty, students, and alumni.

The archives provides information services for the University and other users, and promotes the use of these materials for teaching, learning and research.
