Artistic Merit Award

The Department of Art & Design offers Artistic Merit Awards for current and incoming PLU students. The Department offers classes in printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing, letterpress, photography and graphic design. Students use methods ranging from a ten thousand-year-old technique to make pots to cutting-edge and industry standard technology to generate high-tech computer images. Art history and theory courses engage students in critical analysis of major artistic movements from the prehistoric to contemporary world.

Please note:

• The Artistic Merit Awards is offered in amounts ranging up to $12,000 per year, and is renewable for up to three additional years.
• For incoming students to be considered for the Artistic Merit Award for the 2012-13 academic year, please complete both an admission application to PLU, as well as a scholarship contact form. You DO NOT have to be admitted to PLU to apply for an award. Applications for the 2012-13 academic year are due January 15 and deadline is absolute. No Late Applications are accepted.
