Biography
Art historian John Hallam is a Puget Sound native (B.A. Seattle University and M.A./Ph.D. University of Washington) who joined the PLU faculty in 1990.  He specializes in 18th, 19th, and early 20th century French, British, and American art. He also holds a doctoral minor in Japanese painting and sculpture.

His current interest is the history and theory of collage. His digital collage history of the Paris Salon exhibitions have been displayed in Albuquerque (NM) and Portland (OR).
