2012 Juror: Janet Marcavage

Janet Marcavage is a Tacoma-based printmaker and Associate Professor of Printmaking at The University of Puget Sound. Particles, a solo exhibition of her prints, was recently held at the Zhiguan gallery in Wuhan, China. Marcavage’s prints have been exhibited at the 5th Bienal Internacional de Gravura do Douro in Portugal, Qijiang International Print Festival in China, Museum of Modern Art in Wales, the Dedalo Center for Contemporary Art in Italy, and The Wuhan Art Museum in China. Her work is in several collections, including The University of Wales Print Collection, Aberystwyth, Wales, The Permanent Collection of Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology, Christchurch, NZ, The Rutgers Center for Innovative Print and Paper, New Brunswick, NJ and The Plains Art Museum, Fargo, ND. Marcavage holds a BFA from the University of The Arts and an MFA from The University of Wisconsin-Madison.
