PLU Alum Bjorn Larsen Places Second in National Event

Former Pacific Lutheran University rower and 2003 graduate Bjorn Larsen finished second with teammate Richard Montgomery in the lightweight men's double sculls at the 2008 national selection regatta on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J. Larsen and Montgomery covered the course in a time of 6:43.06 seconds.

Larsen, who lives in Lake Stevens, started rowing at Pacific Lutheran in 1998 and is now one of the country's top lightweight rowers. He won the lightweight double sculls at the 2007 U.S. Rowing National Championships.
