College: Voted to honorable mention All-Northwest Conference
team following 2005-06 season…PLU’s third-leading
scorer, averaging 13.0 points per game…led last year’s
team with 9.9 rebounds per game…shot 50 percent from
the field, 82 percent at the foul line…scored 22 points
and grabbed 11 rebounds in national playoff loss to Hardin-Simmons…pulled
down season-high 14 rebounds against Whitman…team captain
her sophomore year as well as honorable mention all-conference…averaged
11.5 points, 7.8 rebounds that year…led Lutes in rebounds
in 16 games that season, including single-game career best
16 against Redlands…was voted most improved player following
her freshman year…averaged 5.0 points, 3.3 rebounds
off the bench…has lettered three times.
High School: Team captain senior year and voted most improved
sophomore and junior years at Thomas Jefferson High School…hold
a number of TJHS records, including most blocked shots in
a game, season and career, as well as most rebounds in a game
and season.
Personal: Born Jan. 24, 1985…parents are Deb and John
Long…cousin Katelyn Whiten currently plays basketball
at Simpson College…cousin Paul Creighton plays football
at University of Colorado…majoring in journalism with
a minor in religion.
