Describe your family. How have they helped you in your athletic career?
My family has always been very supportive of my participation in athletics. My older siblings played soccer so as soon as I was old enough I wanted to play too. My parents love watching soccer so they have always attended all of my games.

Describe any hardships or extenuation circumstances that you have faced to get to where you are today.
When I started high school I discovered I had a breathing problem that made it difficult for me to play. I took many months to identify my rare condition called vocal cord dysfunction and another 6 months working on treatment at OHSU. It is a condition that may never go away but one that I have learned to self regulate so it doesn’t interfere much with soccer.

What made you decide to come to PLU?
I decided to come to PLU because it has a strong community environment. I really enjoyed my visit here and how friendly everyone was. I was looking for a school that emphasized academics and I knew PLU was well known for their business department. I also wanted to play soccer and I decided PLU was the perfect opportunity for me.

Have you studied abroad? If so, describe your experiences?
I have not studied abroad yet, although I still hope to study marketing in Europe in January of 2009.

What has been your favorite class at PLU?
My favorite class at PLU was sociology 101 my first semester here. The professor was really creative and always surprised us with unexpected skits. I enjoyed this class because it was fascinating and different from what I typically study.

Have you had any trouble balancing athletics with academics?
Balancing athletics with academics is always a challenge. It takes a lot of self discipline and organization. I have been very successful in balancing these, but also have very little free time as a result.

What are your plans after college?
After college I intend to get a job in the marketing/PR/advertising field. I have yet to determine exactly what I would like to do, but it may be in the fashion or interior décor genre.

When your athletic career is all said and done, what is it that you would want people to say about you?
I hope that people will say I contributed to the program and helped to make our team successful.

Describe your hometown and what you miss about it the most.
My hometown, Corvallis, Oregon, has a small town feel where you always see someone you know. What I miss most is all the unique small businesses we have, especially distinctive places to eat like American Dream Pizza.

What's your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot of campus would have to be Foss hall because I lived there my first two years and have a lot of good memories in that building.

What is your favorite restaurant in Tacoma?
I must say I love to eat at The Harmon in downtown Tacoma on Monday nights where they serve 3 dollar steaks and fries! Although Azteca is also an all-time favorite.
