Open Officer Positions - The positions of Treasurer and Historian are opening up for Spring 2012!  Elections for the two positions will be held on November 17th during the scheduled meeting.  

Meet the Professionals is annually hosted by Western Washington University at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Seattle Washington. One-hundred sixty people attended, both professionals and students.  This comes as a great opportunity for smaller and private universities to get together with a variety of firms.  Overall the students from PLU enjoye d a spread of food and numerous opportunities to network.  We had ten students attend and hope to expand that number next year.

Moss Adams Tacoma held a private tour for PLU students in late September.  Twenty students were given office tours, followed by presentations from the Moss Adams Professionals, and  a pizza dinner during networking hour.  This was a great event for students to get in touch with their local roots and the largest regional firms in the Northwest. 

Commencement Fundraiser: Each year during late May seniors arrive at the Tacoma Dome for commencement in front of several thousand in attendance.  During this time newly elected officers  spend their time fundraising for the following school year by selling flowers to the family and friends of graduates.  This May we used a new flower provider, Monday’s Flowers.  Monday’s focuses on sustainable business practices and is located in  West Seattle.  Overall our team raised over $400 in two hours.
