Silent Auction

silent auction

The Delta Rho chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) is hosting its first big fundraising event that will include a silent auction, musical performers from Pacific Lutheran University (PLU), and Emmy Award winning Comedian John Keister.

Proceeds will go toward future Delta Rho programs that will benefit both accounting and finance students attending PLU by:

  • Having a scholarship program that will award $500 each to one accounting student and one finance student who will be entering into the School of Business.
  • Creating a mentorship program matching accounting and finance students with professionals in their field of interest.
  • Enabling chapter members to attend the Beta Alpha Psi Northwest Regional Meeting located in Portland, OR.

Contact Delta Rho if you have questions or concerns. We will be happy to answer your questions.

Additional Information:

Doors open at 6:30 for the audience to browse around the silent auction tables that will have unique bidding items, such as a spa gift basket to brand new roofing shingles for the entire house! Bidding will stay open until 8:35 PM.

The Emmy-winning host for the TV hit Almost Live during its phenomenal 15-year run on the NBC affiliate KING 5, John Keister remains a comedic icon in the Northwest.

John and his work have appeared on NBC and CBS affiliates, and nationally on Comedy Central, HBO and FOX. John now appears, shall we say, “totally live” in corporate and association appearances around the region.

He also teaches the fundamentals of scriptwriting at the Art Institute, and is the host of the new KING 5 show, The 206, that brings local comedy back to TV in Seattle.

HERmonic Acappella

HERmonic was born when a mixed a Cappella group at Pacific Lutheran University had grown so popular around campus that the girls of the group started to wonder, "Why do we need these stinky boys? Girl Power!!" So, the ladies bid a fond farewell to the boys and founded their own group – HERmonic! Parkland, Washington has never been the same. HERmonic has since grown into a diverse group of women who pride themselves on their individuality and spirit. Our motto is: Sassy, Brassy, and Classy!

Bassoon Ensemble

The Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) Bassoon Ensemble is a non-auditioned group on campus that is directed by the bassoon professor, Francine Peterson.  The club is open to all bassoon students regardless of major and year in school. This year, Bassoon Ensemble has four members: Julian Banbury (Senior), Helene Beck (Junior), Alex Orlowski (Junior) and Nicholaus Townsend-Falck (Sophomore).  This group participates in the wind and brass recital in the spring and fall semesters at PLU in addition to hosting an annual  bassoon ensemble concert.  The club has also performed professionally in Seattle at the Women’s University Club.
