
Dave Wittenberg first joined the PLU School of Business in 2009. Prior to PLU he enjoyed a diverse array of experiences in general management, capital investments, strategic analysis, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, business planning, private equity and investor relations. Dave grew up in a family business in Canada where he earned his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Manitoba. After earning his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, he served in a variety of leadership roles in finance and strategy across Weyerhaeuser Company for fourteen years. It was there that Dave discovered his passion for teaching and leadership development when he was asked to crate and lead business case development and corporate finance seminars to both financial and non-financial professionals across the company. He also became keenly interested in behavioral traits that derail sound decision-making. Dave’s current research involves the impact of decision processes on capital stress in business, government and not-for-profit organizations.
