Turner Leaves School of
Business
 After
approximately one year as dean of the School of Business, Dr. Andy
Turner has submitted his resignation to PLU. Turner’s private equity
firm, Northern Lights Ventures, has grown in innovative and exciting
ways that were not anticipated. Essentially, Turner has been working
two full-time jobs over the past year. As a result of the success of
the firm, the board of directors of Northern Lights unanimously voted
to request that he resign as dean of the School of Business.
Turner is disappointed that he has to leave PLU. “My biggest regret is
I am unable to continue the work we began together at PLU, building a
new model for business education in the region. However, you should
feel very confident in the dynamic and capable leadership team and the
faculty of the School of Business. I have no doubt our great work will
continue and great things will happen.”
While Turner resigns as dean, he will continue to support the School of
Business. “As an alumnus of the School of Business and former chair of
the School of Business Executive Advisory Board, I am deeply vested in
the success of the School. I will continue my strong support for PLU
from the sidelines. I firmly believe that the PLU School of Business
can and will be the best small business school in the West as the
program continues to build on the progress and follow the path we have
developed this past year.”
