Biography
Megan Corbi is a Senior, Religion major and plans on attending seminary school after she graduates, so she can become an ordained pastor and hopefully have her own church one day. Most people don't know this, but she actually spent most of her life saying that she would never attend PLU. Eight other people in her family have gone to PLU or are currently attending. Her and her cousin will actually be graduating together this spring. The reason she fought so hard against PLU is because everyone expected her to go here. Everyone thought they knew what would fit her best. She's a person that likes to come to terms with things on her own, so she really didn't like all the assumptions about her college career. Clearly though, all of them were right. PLU really is the place for her. She loves expanding her thinking, traveling, hearing other people's stories, and being challenged in life. PLU does that for her. In Campus Ministry, she is the coordinator for the worship band Deliverance. She says she works with a bunch of knucklehead musicians, but she thinks they really are the best! She also volunteers as a youth leader and worship leader at a church in Spanaway. She has been there since her Senior year in high school, and couldn't stand the thought of leaving her kids behind. She loves them with all her heart. Everyday she feels blessed that God has allowed her to stay close to them as she has been in school. Throughout her time at PLU, she has really tried to search out her identity, like most people her age. What she has found is that as long as she comes back to Jesus, she will never lose sight of who she is. Precious, called, and set free to do glorious, compassionate things with her life.
