Campus Ministry Interns!
Jamie Baits lived eight years in Costa Rica and considers it home. She is a PLU sophomore, studying Spanish and Global Studies. She loves taking pictures, playing Volleyball and making cookies. She will be spending the spring semester in India working in the Mother Teresa homes, and is confident that the experience will be one of tremendous learning and growth. While she doesn't have her future meticulously planned out, Jamie knows for sure that she wants to serve God by serving others.

Kate Burdekin is a senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Biology. Kate loves traveling, cooking, shopping, running, swimming, and lacrosse. Kate’s ultimate goals are still under construction!

Lauren Frerichs is a junior from Auburn, Washington, who is studying Psychology. When she is not studying, she enjoys tennis, sewing, singing, making jewelry, and shopping :-) Ultimately, Lauren wants to be a family and child therapist or an elementary school principal. She also wants to have a family of her own, including at least two cats, of course!

Joe Natwick is a junior from Fargo, North Dakota. He is majoring in Religion and Classics. He hopes to attend seminary after college with the aspiration of becoming a pastor in the ELCA. He also hopes to one day reside in the great state of Minnesota, spending his days swimming and water skiing on the lake where he spent his summers as a child.

Jessica Reiter is a sophomore originally from Bainbridge Island, Washington. She is a Spanish and Religion major who is looking forward to studying abroad in Granada, Spain in the spring. She enjoys swimming, sailing, and eating peanut butter and banana smoothies. She hopes to someday become fluent in Spanish and to learn a third language. She doesn’t know what God has in store for her after college but looks forward to glorifying him wherever her life leads.

Laura Rudquist is a sophomore originally from Northern Minnesota. She plans to study Sociology. Along with being a Campus Ministry Intern, she is the Sociology Research Experience Coordinator and a mentor/tutor for elementary school students. She is also involved with Circle K, Concert Band, and the International Honors Program.

Luke Stromberg is a sophomore from Clackamas, Oregon. He is studying Musical Arts and Spanish. He loves to play piano, swim, listen to music, play basketball, sing, learn new skills, and meet new people. He is not sure what the future has in store for him, but he tries to live by accepting the “Que sera sera” in life and chooses not to stress out about it. Luke also believes that God puts everyone we know in our lives for a reason, and the more we can learn from others, the more we learn about ourselves.
