What services do we provide?
Shuttle Escorts: Available on campus and within a perimeter of several blocks surrounding campus (112th, Pacific Ave, Tule Lk. Rd, Spanaway Lp.). Call for details, or See a map of our perimeter. Certain rules and restrictions apply and can be viewed here, however escorts to parties and bars are restricted and can result in a loss of escort privileges if abused. The escort vehicles are considered an extension of PLU property and the transportation of alcohol is not allowed. Due to staffing levels, shuttle escorts may not always be available. They are also suspended during incident response to keep the radio traffic clear for the responding officers and are resumed once the incident has been cleared.
Walking Escorts: We will make every effort to be able to provide a walking escort by one of our Safety Officers. These can be provided up to one block from campus and are available 24/7. Since the Safety Officers have a number of other tasks that they will be involved with, please call ahead to get an estimated time of arrival (eta) and place your request accordingly. Walking escorts take lower priority than incident response.
Vehicle jump starts if your battery dies.
Admits for pre-approved persons into academic buildings and residence halls. Please refer to the Campus Access page for more details on getting approval.
Security patrol: Officers are on patrol every day of the year.
Video surveillance of the campus parking lots, adjacent streets and some residence hall entrances.
Emergency response: Including medical aid, coordination of police, fire department, and EMS Response. Call x7911 for immediate assistance.
Lost and found: Found items are donated or disposed of every few weeks. Found keys are disposed of on May 31 each year.
Emergency message delivery: Urgent messages can be delivered to otherwise unreachable students or staff
Emergency notifications: PLU Alert!, blue phone announcements, PLU tv alerts, emergency phone trees...

We are open 24/7, every day of the year. All services are provided year-round. There is always someone to take your call or respond to an emergency. We handle a large volume of calls and customers, so please be patient if there is a wait.
