First job: Excel at being a student!

Your career can take shape in so many ways. Over the course of your lifetime, you’ll likely have many different jobs and career interests. Right now, through excelling at your job of being a student, you will gain the intellectual skills needed to thrive in various contexts and positions. Employers seek out those who can think critically, express themselves thoughtfully, and solve problems creatively, while leading and working well with others.

In addition to your courses, other opportunities assist you in the exploring your academic options and gaining needed experience for your future career. How will you distinguish yourself from other college grads? Plan for some or all of these options: internships, study away, student/faculty research, and academic service learning.

While you are responsible for making your own life, career, and educational plans, academic advisors will guide you in academic planning and considering the next steps in your life after PLU. While you’re at it, check out your CAPP report and stay on track for graduation!
