Complete the online Krise Internship Application form

Submit all required documents (PDF format only) with your application

500-600 word proposal that addresses all of the following:

1. An overview of the organization that you will be working with and what your specific responsibilities/projects will be as an intern.

2. A description of the skills, knowledge, and experience you hope to develop/gain from this internship experience.

3. How this internship will contribute to your career goals.

Resume (one page)

 

c

Names and contact information for 2-3 references (one of whom must be a PLU faculty member)

 

 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ACADEMIC CREDIT INTERNSHIPS

If you plan to receive academic credit for your Krise Internship, in addition to the above requirements, you must also follow the same procedure as all academic internships. For specific requirements visit http://www.plu.edu/intern

Meet with your academic advisor to determine the course and the number of credits that will support your academic program and help you advance toward graduation.  (Remember, AICE 276 or 476 are available as a general elective if an internship course in your major is not the best option.)

Confirm that you have a faculty member (who may be someone other than your academic advisor) who will be your academic sponsor for the learning portion of your internship

Meet with your faculty sponsor to confirm what will be expected of you to earn the credits you plan to register for and be sure your opportunity will meet those expectations.

Review the Learning Agreement with your internship work supervisor to confirm your learning goals and opportunities are consistent with the employer’s expectations.  Your employer should make any changes they believe are necessary to be consistent with the work you will be doing with them.  Review any changes with your faculty sponsor.

Go to the Online Learning Agreement Instructions  for guidance on how to enter your Learning Agreement online.
