Ruth Rogers

Biography:

Ruth has completed 12 hours of post graduate course work at the University of Nebraska in Leadership of Adult Education. She is certified in facilitating the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, the Strong Interest Inventory, Situational Leadership, Neurolinguistic Programming among other trainings. She has had positions involving training, facilitating, counseling, administration, and teaching in a variety of settings including community colleges and universities, federal and state agencies, two university medical centers and with the military services here and in Germany. She was Chair of the Career Development graduate program at the School of Management of John F. Kennedy University. She also served as the director of career and employment services at Green River Community College. Most recently she had her own consulting company. She began her position at PLU in March, 2006 and was attracted to PLU for its mission and the Wild Hope Project focusing on not just career development, but on finding one's vocation.

Dawn Clark

Biography:

Dawn moved to the Puget Sound area in 2005 and is enjoying the adventure of living in a new part of the country. Since her move, she has had the opportunity to work at the University of Puget Sound, and more recently, Green River Community College. Prior to working as a Career Counselor, Dawn worked in both corporate and non-profit environments. When not working, Dawn is actively involved in the Puget Sound Career Development Association (PSCDA) and will be serving on the PSCDA Board for the first time. Additionally, Dawn has also participated in local theatre as the Assistant Director for two productions with the Puyallup Actors’ Theatre Group.

Pamela Deacon-Joyner

Biography:

Pam is a Tacoma native and in her 15th year at PLU. She recently moved into the dual role of Career/Academic Advisor in the Ramstad Commons. Pam is “grateful to be part of such a nurturing community.” During her free time she serves as a volunteer mediator for the Pierce County Center for Dispute Resolution and is a member of the Peace and Justice Committee at Mount Cross Lutheran Church (University Place). Pam enjoys the beauty of the Northwest while kayaking, hiking and traveling with family and friends.
