Chronic Illness: Mitigating the Impact
Friday, January 16, 2015 from 8:30am-4:30pm
Chronic illness is the most costly, prevalent and preventable of all health problems. Using lecture, demonstration and practice you will be guided through the process of differentiating between the consequences of chronic disease and the natural aging process. You will gain proficiency with focused assessment in response to common clinical pictures presented by those suffering from chronic illness. The emphasis will be on recognizing and responding to changes in a chronic disease to prevent further consequences and complications with the goal of improvement of maintenance and function rather than cure.
