RN Re-Entry Into Practice

We will be offering an RN Re-Entry into Practice program from May 1st through June 30th, 2014.  This program combines self-directed independent study, on-line skills modules and presentations.  Each Friday in May will include essential laboratory skills in a supervised lab setting.  The month of June is in a clinical agency to bring nurses up-to-date on the latest care techniques.  The first two weeks are in a long term care facility while the second half of June is in an acute care facility.

This class is designed to provide nurses with an update of theoretical content and clinical practice needed to return to employment in nursing with adult medical surgical patients in either a long-term/extended or acute care setting.  Nursing procedures common to adult (adolescent to elderly) acute and long-term care will be reviewed and practiced by participants in skill laboratory setting before beginning the clinical experience.  Students will not be admitted to the class with an expired RN license.
