PROVIDER APPROVAL

Pacific Lutheran University Center for Continued Nursing Learning (PLU CCNL) is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

In addition, PLU CCNL is a provider of in-service education clock hours by the Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) of the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), Olympia, WA.

CONTACT HOURS

60 minutes of an organized learning experience that is either didactic or clinical experience.  Contact hours are provided by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation (ANCC) and are applicable towards nursing certification renewal.

CLOCK HOURS

For each 60 minutes of approved in-service education including reasonable time for breaks and passing time, one continuing education credit hour shall be granted.  Clock hours are provided by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and are applicable towards ESA Certification AND nursing certification renewal through ANCC.

Pacific Lutheran University School of Nursing is an approved provider of in-service education clock hours by the Professional Education and Standards Board of OSPI, Olympia, WA.

ACADEMIC CREDIT

Pacific Lutheran University CCNL does not currently offer educational offerings for optional academic credit but may be offered in the future at the discretion of a college or university for an additional fee and assignments as required. If you have taken CCNL courses in the past for academic credit (NOT contact hours or clock hours) an official PLU transcript is available at https://www.plu.edu/registrar/transcripts.  Academic credit is also applicable towards ESA Certification AND nursing certification renewal through ANCC.

REGISTRATION

Registration must be submitted one business day prior to the course start date. Registration submitted after this date will incur a late fee. No registration will be accepted after the fifth business day from the course start date (if applicable). Please refer to the program information webpage for specific registration dates and deadlines.

PAYMENT

Payment in full is due at the time of registration. To pay by credit card, please call our office at 253-535-7027.  Payment by check or money order can be mailed to:

WITHDRAWAL / REFUND

Notification of withdrawal must be completed via the CCNL Withdrawal Form. A full refund will be provided up to two business days prior to the course start date. A full refund less a 50% processing fee will be provided two business days prior to the course start date. Fees are non-refundable after the course start date. Please refer to the program information webpage for specific withdrawal dates and deadlines.

CANCELLATION

A course or program may be cancelled due to low registration. In this instance, registered students will be contacted in advance and options will be discussed.
