Health Care Resources Management

This course will focus on the management of resources in the planning, coordination, and/or delivery of health care with an outcome perspective at the system level. Financial and human resources and systems management will be examined from a quality perspective. The course integrates principles of cost accounting, microeconomics and budgeting principles for making strategic and program decisions in healthcare settings. It is designed to assist nurse managers, practitioners, program leaders and clinical specialists toward developing a "toolkit" of financial management and planning resources to fulfill their roles.
