Medication Management for Chronic Illness

Whether you work in ambulatory care, home care, long term care, or acute care, you are faced with chronically ill patients taking multiple medications. The pharmacological management of these chronic illnesses continually changes. Another major concern to all nurses is medication administration safety. You will not only learn the latest pharmacological management for cardiovascular disease, asthma, diabetes, and hypertension, but will also learn potentially dangerous side effects and strategies for safely administering medications.
