Biography
Jeffrey Bell-Hanson, Associate Professor of Music, is in his eighth season as conductor of the University Symphony Orchestra. Prior to coming to PLU he taught at Michigan Technological University in Houghton for 14 years, during which time he conducted the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra and established a chamber music program. Bell-Hanson has conducted orchestras and wind ensembles throughout the United States, Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in orchestral conducting from the University of Iowa.
