Commuter Connections

Commuter Connections (CC) is a program that enables you to connect with other commuter students as well as students living in a residence hall. By joining Commuter Connections, you will have many of the benefits of living on campus while still living at home. You will meet new friends, have a place to hang out, and get to participate in great hall programs and campus events! In addition, you will be connected to a Commuter Student Intern (CSI). These are student leaders that can help you in your transition to university life. Your CSI will keep you informed of what is happening on campus, help you connect and build community with on and off-campus students and provide resources when you need them. Any first-year commuter student who participates in the program receives a free t-shirt during Orientation!

Joining Commuter Connections is one of the best investments you can make for getting the most out of the educational and co-curricular experience at PLU. This is why we will be assigning each student a CSI to help you feel welcomed and included.

You'll get to meet your CSI during the first day of Orientation and that person will be available to help you be successful throughout your entire first year at PLU!

In addition to having your personal CSI, the Commuter students have connected with Hinderlie Hall to bring our students living off-campus the chance to participate in some of PLU Residential Life's most treasured student traditions. You will have the chance to participate in Hinderlie Hall's Residence Hall Council and all of their great events, such as Toga Party, Songfest, and the Homecoming Festivities! You get the best of both worlds!
