The Rev. Phil Kettering
Representative of ELCA Region 1
After 20 years working with technology in the oil and gas industry, Rev. Phil Kettering took a two year sabbatical. During this time he sensed a call to pastoral ministry and entered seminary. He split his academic time between residency at PLTS and the TEEM (Theological Education for Emerging Ministries). He is now entering his fifth year of pastoral ministry and is currently serving the congregation at Epiphany Lutheran in Valdez, AK. God truly works in mysterious ways!
He enjoys cooking, fly fishing, and watching wild life in his spare time.
Favorite Place on Earth: A steelhead stream on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska, the Ninichik River.
Favorite thing about PLU: Community (or family) feel on the campus.
