Construction Management

Project Overview

The Martin J. Neeb Center is home to the radio station 88.5 KPLU and the all-Jazz webstream, Jazz24.  In June 2009 the station moved to the new building after 18 months of construction.   The Martin J Neeb center has been designed specifically to support their broadcasting needs.  This new building provides much-needed upgrades including on-air studios, production rooms, small performance space, and offices.  PLU’s Office of Development is also located in the Martin J Neeb Center.

In November of 2009, the Martin J Neeb Center achieved LEED Gold Certification.  Reaching LEED Gold is recognition that the building is both energy efficient and environmentally sound.

The environmental stewardship that the Neeb Center embodies is evident even before entering the building. On the lot, the building sits on only a third of the site, while the rest is undisturbed by the building.
