Why is PLU important to your congregation?

Pacific Lutheran University is your university here in the Pacific Northwest.  Founded by five Norwegian Lutheran congregations in Oregon and Washington in 1890, PLU continues to train future leaders for the church and community in the West.  Committed to a Lutheran understanding of vocation, PLU seeks to educate men and women to discover their gifts and use them in service to God and others.  PLU takes seriously the importance of helping students wrestle with the issues of faith and values while preparing them to live as global citizens in God's Worl
