Our Calling...

Notes from Julie - The Institute for Clergy and Congregational Renewal The Institute for Clergy and Congregational Renewal was designed to be an innovative programming arm of the university and of the PLU Center for Religion, Cultures and Society in the West. Managed through the Office of Congregation Relations, the Institute helps disseminate the findings and resources from research conducted by the Center and delivers quality continuing theological education programming by means of workshops, seminars, lectures, retreats, and conferences to congregations, ministry practitioners, and church-related institutions in the Pacific Northwest.

The primary purpose of the institute is to help pastors and congregations claim their giftedness and calling for ministry in the midst of the mission culture of the Pacific Northwest. The goal is to promote healthy, vibrant clergy, pastoral leaders, and ecumenical congregations. The Institute was launched in 2005 through funding provided by the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
