Job Description : General Summary:
Client is looking for software developers to build web interfaces for managing data in its proprietary content platform. This includes internal tools for managing data, as well externally facing websites for customers. All applicants must have extensive knowledge of the latest web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, Javascript/AJAX, and JQuery. Developers must have experience building database-backed web applications and working with MVC frameworks. Basic web design abilities and familiarity with Photoshop are also a plus.
Essential Job Functions:
1.Writing specifications and designing user interfaces
2.Designing and planning new features from scratch
3.Developing features to spec within time estimates
4.Writing unit tests

1.Deploying to hosted environments on a regular basis
2.Working with designers
3.Debugging basic operational issues
4.Overseeing internal usability studies
Qualifications : Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1.Knowledge of agile development methodologies
2.Ability to plan and implement features in a timely manner
3.Capable of clearly communicating technical concepts and ideas
4.Capable of quickly learning and incorporating cutting edge technologies
5.Knowledge of Unix-based systems and working with open source software
6.Strong UI skills
Education, Experience, and Certification:
1.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
2.Three or more years’ experience developing on Ruby on Rails
3.Five or more years’ experience with HTML/Javascript/CSS
4.Experience working with SQL databases
