NEON Internship Program

Boulder, CO:  Late May through mid-August

Over the period of 11 weeks (40 hours a week) in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, interns can benefit from the following in the NEON Internship Program:

  • Real-world experience: Work on challenging projects in your chosen field
  • Mentorship: Interact one-on-one with NEON staff members
  • Networking: Join a supportive community of interns from around the country working in local scientific organizations
  • Full-time summer salary: Earn a competitive student salary for 10-12 weeks
  • Travel and lodging: Live and work in Boulder, CO (travel to Boulder and summer housing provided)
  • Making a difference: Contribute to building NEON from the ground up

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Have completed the equivalent of two years of college and have at least one semester of undergraduate studies remaining after the summer internship
  • Have interest in working in one of the following disciplines: engineering; computer science and information technology; informatics; ecology, biology, earth or environmental science.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Have U.S. Citizenship or permanent authorization for U.S. employment
