Novo Nordisk Research Center (NNRC), based in Seattle, WA is sponsoring a summer trainee position in bioinformatics. According to Novo Nordisk, the bioinformatics project will consist of analyzing in-house RNA-seq datasets to increase our understanding of gene expression in various immune cells and disease tissues relating to autoimmune disease. The qualified candidate should be an undergraduate with a gpa of 3.0 or better, experienced in a Linux computing environment, have good programming skills and be very curious and self-directed in exploring large datasets.
This position pays $18 per hour, and has an expected work week of 40 hours. This training program runs for 10 weeks from June 17 through August 31.
