Graduation Gift 2012

Want to make a lasting difference for future PLU students?

Supporting Future Lutes

Join your classmates in supporting Q Club and creating opportunities for future Lutes! Grad Gift is a 32-year tradition at PLU, started by the class of 1980 as a way to show appreciation for their PLU experience.

Your participation in Grad Gift: Make Your Mark 2012 can help to uphold this tradition and ensure the same great PLU experience for future Lutes by giving back to a need-based scholarship!

Our Goal:

This year's Grad Gift goal is to raise $2012 to go to a need-based Q Club scholarship. It's our way of giving back and saying thank you for the support that we have received!

There are many ways to participate:

  • Attend one of our Student Philanthropy/Grad Gift meetings to find out more about why philanthropy is important to PLU. (Email us at gradgift@plu.edu for our meeting schedule and location.)

  • Join the Student Philanthropy/Grad Gift Committee or volunteer at one of our upcoming events.

  • Tell your friends! Do they know where their financial support came from? Invite them to attend a committee meeting with you to learn more together.

  • Make your gift. If we can get 100 seniors to give $20.12, we'll reach our goal. But if every senior gives just $3, we'll surpass our goal. Whatever you can give, you are making a difference for the future PLU student that receives this scholarship.

Did you know?

  • Tuition only covers about 76% of the cost of a PLU education. The other 24% comes from generous alumni, parents, faculty, staff, churches, foundations and corporations.

  • 95% of PLU students receive some type of financial assistance.

  • You can help give other students the opportunity to come to PLU, just as thousands of alumni, parents, friends and other senior classes have done for you.

  • To meet-or-beat the Class of 2011's giving and set the bar high for the Class of 2013!

  • You are a Lute and as a member of the Class of 2012, you won't want to be left out!
