A recycled aluminum can is typically re-manufactured and put back in a store within 6 weeks.
We fully support the PLU effort of becoming carbon neutral and a zero-waste producer by 2020. Recycling is a huge player in reaching this goal and Dining & Culinary Services has a lot that can be recycled.
Items that can be recycled are:
- Aluminum & Tin
- Glass
- Plastic (#1-7)
- Newspaper
- Office & Mixed Paper
- Corrugated Cardboard

- Bottle caps (metal and plastic)
- Other forms of plastic (i.e. packing material) not mentioned above
- Paper cups/plates
- Paper towels
- Tissues
