Jason is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor's degree in Religion. While studying at PLU, Jason also began his career as a food writer and restaurant critic, beginning with a column in PLU's student newspaper, The Mooring Mast. He has since held regulars columns and been featured in several local and national news websites. He enjoys cooking as much as he does eating and writing; he has both competed in and served as judge for PLU's annual culinary competition, The Commons on Fire. Jason is particularly interested in the sciences of coffee and of molecular gastronomy. He is very excited to be part of the kitchen team at Pacific Lutheran University!
