He grew up in Tacoma and graduated from Washington High School.  Richard and his wife have moved back to Tacoma and they live very close to PLU.   
Richard has had a very lengthy and successful career as a chef in a wide variety of places including restaurants and resorts. He loves to cook and has a lot of experience in just about every area of the kitchen including baking.
