Working in Cascade

Are you still with us? Good. It's not that scary. Really. Just follow along and ask for help if you need it. Remember there are Cascade Open Labs to help you with your questions from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday-Thursday at the Tel-a-lute offices on the bottom level of the Alumni House.

Before you get started there are a few things you should know about working in Cascade that will make your workflow, so much easier.

We'll go over accessing Cascade in the next section, so let's dive right into what you'll need - content. It's where it all starts. You need to have stuff to fill your website.

It helps to have a lot of your content in order before you start building or modifying your website. Find the images, videos, word documents, etc. you want to upload. You don't have to have everything, but it would be a good idea to have place holders available if you know you want to put an image or video somewhere, but don't have the content yet.

Now, take a breath. Really, it's OK. There's a lot to play with, but the more you practice the better you'll get.

Plus, you're not alone. This site is a great resource and if you need it there are Cascade Open Labs from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday-Thursday at the Tel-a-lute offices on the bottom level of the Alumni House. Actually, even if you don't think you need it, you should come in and check a session out.
