Bridges Mentoring Program

Bridges Mentoring Program offers the opportunity for mentoring between Pacific Lutheran University students and the Boys and Girls Club South Puget Sound Branch. Together we strive to connect both parties through mentorship to foster respect, hope, and ultimately build bridges to a brighter future.

If you have any questions, please contact Melanie Deane, Bridges Coordinator at deaneml@plu.edu.

The program takes place bi-weekly on Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00pm, alternating locations between PLU and the Lakewood Hope Center. Bridges creates the opportunity for children to interact with college students on a college campus, as well as gives the chance for us college students to interact with the children in their comfortable setting. With a 1:1 mentoring opportunity, you have the chance to create a close relationship with your mentee through structured activities.

Click here for the mentor application.  Once completed, please turn it in the School of Education and Kinesiology front desk by Friday, September 16th (Admin 121).
