The PLU School of Education
announces a new principal certification program for experienced educators. This
16-24 month, comprehensive, best-practice, research-supported program is
designed to build and enhance leadership skills for those candidates who work
in urban, rural, and suburban school systems. Based on current Washington
Principal/Program Administrator standards, the program provides candidates the
practical knowledge and skills they need to lead a school community, not only
for today but into the future. PLU candidates develop the ability to be
responsive and results-oriented leaders able to face the challenges of a
dynamic school community.
Application
Essay: Submit a written essay indentifying and discussing three value
commitments that will influence your work as a teacher. It should be between 500 and 750 words in
length on a separate piece of paper.

Submit two letters of recommendation: One
academic /professional reference and one that speaks to the candidate’s work
with young people.
