This session will cover how to begin/set up an AP* Biology course, effective ways of structuring a course, and an examination of successful teaching strategies. We will look at some of the best teaching materials available (tests, lab manuals, review books etc.) and have an in-depth study of recent AP* Exams. This institute will examine ways of preparing students to take the AP* Exam, as well as strategies to maximize exam scores. Teachers will also become essay exam "Readers" and will practice scoring some recent essays to learn how to better prepare our students for the AP* Biology Exam Essays. We will also cover the new exam format and the requirements for the AP* Biology Audit. The labs for this session will be inquiry based.
