Summer Endorsements @ PLU
Pacific Lutheran University is pleased to offer an intensive, summer long 23-credit course of study for teachers seeking to add an endorsement.
DEADLINE EXTENDED for ELL! We are currently accepting applications for the Summer 2012 ELL endorsement . Application materials must be received by May 24th to be considered.
The program includes:
- Blended learning model
- Online in real time (synchronous) + Instruction Modules (asynchronous).
- 24-7 access to Summer Endorsements @ PLU curriculum and support materials through specific online tools.
- Calendar, class schedules, and tuition designed to meet the needs of practicing educators.

Reading (K-12) - Cancelled for the Summer 2012 program. Please check back next summer.
Special Education (P-12) - No longer accepting applications for the Summer 2012 program. Please check back next summer.
Important Time Requirements to Consider: This rigorous program is designed to complete the endorsement coursework in one summer. This means that courses are scheduled every weekday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. The program includes real-time online (synchronous) coursework with asynchronous learning modules. For Tacoma area teachers, there will be an opportunity to complete the Pedagogy Assessment in collaboration with Tacoma Public Schools(space limited). For teachers outside of the Tacoma area, you will complete your coursework over the summer and then schedule your Pedagogy Assessment in the Fall in collaboration with PLU and your local school district.
