Biography:


My teaching career started in Centralia, Washington. From there, I continued teaching in the public school setting in Sumner, Washington and most recently in Federal Way Washington. I have taught general education grades K-7, and special education in a variety of programs and positions. The last 10 year have focused on teaching and learning, where I was a coach and a mentor for new teachers in the Federal Way School District. I have worked and developed state standards in reading as well as laying the groundwork for the development of curriculum in the area of literacy. Currently, in addition to teaching at Pacific Lutheran University, I continue to work in many aspects of literacy development.
