Dear PLU Faculty, Staff and Students,

Your choice of PLU Connects you to a community that strives to work, live and learn together in positive relationships, with healthy lifestyles. It is important that we choose to live responsibly and be respectful of one another. To that end, the university is committed to a campus free of alcohol and drugs.

We strongly encourage you to choose a lifestyle that is drug and alcohol free. Such substances diminish your physical and mental abilities, and can adversely affect your PLU experience.

Please read this material outlining the civil law and university policy in compliance with the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act amendments of 1989. Also provided are listings of many on and off campus contacts to assist you.

Sincerely,

Loren J. Anderson

President
