The Banner system (http://banweb.plu.edu) stores university data and allows online access to a number of university resorces for PLU students, faculty and staff. For students it gives access to registration, course schedules, financial records, and other personal information. For faculty it gives access to teaching schedules, class rosters, waitlists, and tools to submit final grades. For employees, it allows for viewing and maintaining employment information such as tax information and leave balances. Access to these resources is available throug Banner Web, which is a secure site that requires a username and password separate from your ePass. Please click here for additional password information. If at home, access to Banner Web is only allowed through Internet Explorer.
Listed below are the different areas of Banner and a short description of each area:
Banner Advancement provides the tools to manage the relationships with constituents and alumni. This includes campaign management, event management, annual giving programs, stewardship activities, corporate/foundation programs, planned giving, and tracking major donor efforts.
Management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, assets, grants, budgets, expenses and liabilities.
Banner Financial Aid provides the tools to coordinate the management of admission and registration information with financial aid services. Students can use web-based self-service functions to accept and reject awards as well as find information appropriate for their specific award.
Management for personnel, benefits, and labor budget information.
Management tools to process pay, deductions, and taxes.
Banner Student fuses administrative and academic functions that make it easy to manage data while giving prospects, learners, and faculty secure, 24x7, online access to the information they need. Prospects can apply for admissions. Learners can search and register for classes by term or date, and retrieve financial aid data. Faculty can easily manage course information, rosters, and grading, and advise students.
