J-Term Fitness 2014

PLU offers fitness classes for staff and faculty during each term throughout the year.

When: Mondays, Jan. 6 - Feb. 3*; 12:15-12:45pm
          *no class on Jan. 20
Where: Olson Fieldhouse
Instructor: Susan Westering

A fun 25 minute aerobic workout on the step with a 5 minute cool down. Your heart will love you!

When: Tuesdays, Jan. 7 - Jan. 28; 12:15-12:45pm
Where: 1/7: Regency Room
           1/14: AUC 133
           1/21 & 1/28: Regency Room
Instructor: Allison Stephens

Build strength, stability, and balance through traditional abdominal exercises, pilates and plank. Please bring a mat or towel.

When: Wednesdays, Jan. 8 - Jan. 29; 12:15-12:45pm
Where: 1/8 & 1/15: Olson Gym Balcony
           1/22 & 1/29: AUC 133
Instructor: Susan Westering

Enjoyable class alternating strength training bands and aerobic exercise. Total fat burning!

When: Fridays, Jan. 10 - Jan. 31; 12:15-12:45pm
Where: Trinity Fireside Room (entrance is off Wheeler St.; same entrance as childcare)
Instructor: The Venerable Jo Jo, Vietnamese Buddhist Meditation Center

Free class! Open to all, including students. This will be a guided meditation session. Please bring a cushion, pillow, blanket, etc. to sit on.

Cost: Step It Up, Abs, and Bands and Cardio are for staff and faculty, and are $10 for each class, or all three classes for $20.

The meditation class is free, and open to everyone, including students!
