"I graduated from PLU in 2000 with a major in Classical Languages and a minor in Religion. While I had anticipated going to seminary with this degree and background, I felt God calling me elsewhere.
"What’s demanded of me in my career is being a self-starter and being disciplined in my day-to-day practices.
"I also need to analyze and evaluate data I receive from clients, so that I can develop recommendations for them. Additionally, I am required to be clear, concise and persuasive, always doing what’s right for my clients.
“PLU prepared me by providing a wide background in Liberal Arts. The skills I learned in studying Ancient Greek and Latin, along with writing research papers on a variety of topics, and taking the stage a couple times in the theatre department, allowed me to pivot to careers I had not considered. Today I get to do things I enjoy the most: public speaking, working one-on-one with clients in solving problems and reaching goals, and critical analysis of data.”
