Welcome to PLU’s Internship Program

It is the intention of the Academic Internship Office to support employers seeking to recruit PLU students for internship opportunities they have. It also is our mission to help employers derive the best benefit from their student interns. It is our position that if it is a successful experience for you, it will be a successful internship for our students.

Structure of PLU’s Internship Program

PLU’s internship program is grounded in the academic departments. That means that most students enroll for credits through their academic department and have a sponsoring faculty from their major.

The role of the Academic Internship Office is to support the department based internship program by helping students find quality opportunities, by helping employers find quality candidates and by helping faculty and the academic departments by allowing only academically challenging internships and reputable employers list with us.

How We can Help You

We promote and advertise internships with our website (and Internship Database), bulletin boards on campus, advertising in the Daily Flyer (a student operated daily tabloid is circulated widely around campus and is seen by most students), and emails to academic departments. We can help you get connected on campus and bring your organization’s name out front by arranging a campus visit, meetings with student organizations, and meetings with faculty.

Beyond recruiting and helping you get connected on campus, we can help you plan or develop a quality internship program in your organization that will yield the highest value from your interns and your relationship with PLU. Don't miss our Career & Internship Fairs in Fall and Spring!
