Interview "Blunders"

Talk too much

Just answer the questions. Then stop! When you keep talking, you begin to repeat yourself and you let the interviewer know that you are covering up your insecurities or lack of knowledge with words.

Tell how expert you are

Some students seem to think that after a few college courses, they are qualified to tell the employer how to run the business. Consider your background and how much you have to learn and act accordingly.

Be an individual

Ignore advice on dress and grooming! Make a statement about your individuality! Unfortunately, the statement you make is that you do not care about the feelings and perceptions of others. Of course, this only indicates to the employer that he/she should not care much about you.

Do not do your homework

After all, why should you put yourself out learning about the organization and its needs. You plan to make it over in your own image anyway.
